Back to Bangkok

Went for our last supper to a traditional thai bamboo curry hut.It was a little hut on sticks in a forest.The floor was like floorboards with gaps in between.There were cushions on the floor and no seats.The food was absolutely fantastic and was the best meal we have eaten the full trip.Plus the cheapest, for 6 meals and side orders and drinks it came to about 15 quid.
The bill arrived I pull out my money to pay and my bank card falls out my purse,down the crack in the floorboard to the forest floor below-cosmic.
I then have to find a gap in the bamboo wall below,climb through grass and muddy water and search the stream/floor/grass/muddy pit.After 5 min of feeling about in what smelt like a Sest pit I find my card.Now you may think I am ecstatic at this point-I am.Until I get upstairs into the light and realise it was actually a phone card and not my bankcard!Great...........
We then head to get a taxi....we are trying to barter the taxi man's price down when some random french guy appears asking us would we do this in our country!He starts having a go and we tell him t f-off back to France.He then starts speaking french and shouting.I then calmy told him to stop taking the piss as I can speak french, whilst the boys continue to rant and rave.He says "go on then...show me your f-in french!"I calmy replied "mange tout Rodney."
At this point we all just laughed at him and he left.Well, you had to be there....It was funny at the time.
So I got on the boat, to get to the taxi ,to get on the night train.And after 9 hours in the comfiest bed ever-REALLY it was the best-I have arrived in Bangkok.
I have checked in to a hotel with a pool as there is no beach here.Everybody who we have met along the way is here, or getting here tomorrow so it's like the final get together.I am going to do shopping today....have a quiet one tonight and then tomorrow MY LAST AND FINAL DAY get hammered -as is everybody else.
I am going to try and not get upset and enjoy the 72 hours I have left......But it's gonna be hard.I dread leaving.And I am definitely getting a tattoo today to remind me of one of the best months of my entire life.Las Vegas was top of my destinations list.I said nowhere on earth would beat that place.Well I eat my words.Thailand is now top of my list and will definitely stay top forever.
