FIRE!FIRE!FIRE!

Whilst spending a lazy day chilling at the beach we smelled smoke.But as there was a BBQ close by we thought nothing of it.
When the sky turned grey with smoke and ash was falling like snow and people were running up the beach we decide to investigate.
Nearly a quarter of the island has burnt down.Our favourite vodka stall,restaurants,bars,clothes shops everything!They have actually burnt to the ground.
There was a line of like 200 people from the beach to the town relaying buckets of water to put out the fire.A man on a mega phone was telling everyone to go to they re rooms and get buckets and all fire extinguishers.It was mad!
I mean there was no firemen!O.k. I know we are on an island in the middle of the ocean with no roads but I thought there would be something!And there is no water here from 12am-5pm so there was not even a hose.
So, the beach is full of bits of wood,debris,furniture,rubbish -its like a disaster zone.
It is so bad.I feel so sorry for all those little people who have lost their livlihoods.It's so sad.
So, tomorrow we are getting out of here.
